We are absolutely delighted to share a fantastic review printed in The Sunday Life newspaper on Sunday 28th October 2018. Following a visit to Omagh and the surrounding area, a reporter compiled a fantastic review which started with his arrival on Main Street in the heart of Omagh town.
Arriving on a Sunday afternoon was perfect timing as his first stop was at Seán Óg's thatched pub where a lively trad session was well underway with The Drunken Lullabies. The quaint, thatched pub offered a superb start to his stay in Omagh and offered a great opportunity to experience Northern Ireland's Tourist Pub of the Year before checking into one of our 4 Star Guest Rooms. His review on our guest rooms is delightful, describing the en-suite accommodation as being furnished to a 'very high contemporary standard" with sleek and elegant bathroom fittings. If you have yet to experience the luxury of our town centre guest rooms, we have superb offers starting from £80 per room per night.
A delicious meal was also on offer in the adjoining Rue Bar and Restaurant and with our generous portions and locally sourced food, the mouth-watering review below will tempt your tastebuds. With sumptuous food served seven days a week, plan a visit to Omagh and enjoy the full Main Street experience.
Your visit to Omagh is not however complete without taking in the exquisite scenery on offer at Gortin Glen and the outstanding Sperrin Mountains, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.
Please take a few moments to read the full review below and plan a trip to Omagh, a hidden gem in County Tyrone. A very warm welcome awaits.

• Just spent a night at Rooms at Rue and what a relaxing night we had . We were made very welcome the moment we arrived as the staff were all amazing. The food was delicious and we finished the evening with a trad session. Breakfast was chilled out and relaxed and I didn't want to leave. To all the staff I would like to say thank you. The room was meticulous and I honestly couldn't complain about anything. I'm really looking forward to going back soon. Rita Deans.
• Location was perfect, room was lovely, secure parking close by and gluten free options at breakfast topped off a great stay.
• Staff were great, food was excellent, location was great right in the heart of the town as for breakfast the portions were massive you couldn't finish it I would recommend anybody going to stay in Omagh stay in the Rue 10 out of 10 for everything.
• My wife held a surprise birthday party for my 50th birthday recently and part of her treat was for us to stay a night in Rooms @ Rue, as friends of ours from Wales, England and Belfast had already booked to stay the night. In short, the rooms are amazing, as we all testified at breakfast downstairs in Rue the following morning.
We arrived back in the early hours to be greeted by friendly staff who showed us down the plush corridors to our room which offered a lovely view of Omagh's Market Street illuminated at night. The decor of the rooms is of the highest design and quality, tastefully done with an eye for detail, as good if not better than any hotel room I stay in throughout Britain and Ireland when travelling for work. Very spacious too, with a king-size bed and comfortable mattress, and not a sound to be heard even in middle of Omagh. The en-suite bathroom is very modern, and has everything including all the fancy hand-soaps and moisturisers etc. which my wife utilised but I skipped, me being a typical Alpha male from Tyrone etc!!
A dozen or so of us each had a full Irish the following morning, which was superb, and Charlie and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. I certainly would recommend a stay at Rue and accommodation is at a very reasonable price too. A great experience, well done.
This wonderful "Bijou" hotel was a joy to stay in. The seemingly newly refurbished rooms are London 5 star standard. The welcome from the manager, Kamel and his staff was a breath of fresh air! Breakfast on leaving was a hearty "Full Irish" which left me sustained until I arrived home in Wales many hours later. I would advise all who visit to pay attention to the directions given on line....the hotel was a little difficult to find without satnav details (our fault) .......I would not hesitate to stay in Rue again...
The hotel is really amazing! The most impressive point is the fantastic view from the window! Safe and comfortable, well-equipped with all of the facilities we needed. Very friendly staff and beautiful town. Cannot recommend enough...Really enjoyed the trip to ireland!
