The nation’s favourite talent show is hitting the road once again on its search to find talented acts for our brand new series.

This year, the Britain’s Got Talent team is coming to Main Street Omagh on 12th November 2017 from 12.00 noon – 4pm. If you think you’ve got a talent which can impress and entertain, now is the time to show us what you’ve got. Successful acts will then be in with a chance of securing a place at one of the judges’ auditions in 2018.

The show is open to any performer of any age, with any talent - all you need is a skill and star quality which they think will impress. Anything goes from magicians to comedians, drag acts to singers and acrobats to animals.

Series Producer, Charlie Irwin, said “Britain’s Got Talent 2017 was a fantastic year for talent full of variety - from runner-up Issy Simpson, the youngest magician to audition, to the moving and inspiring Missing People Choir, lovable duo The Pensionalities and our incredible winner Tokio Myers. Now, we can’t wait to see what talent your town has to offer for the 2018 series. Anyone can apply - there is no age limit and we are looking for all kinds of talents. So if you feel you have something special to show us, no matter what it is, then make sure you apply, you never know where it might take you.”

Since being crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2017, Tokio Myers has co-produced the Artists for Grenfell charity single in support of The London Community Foundation and is currently in the studio working on his debut album, which is due to be released later this year. BGT’s 10th winner Lance Corporal Richard Jones, the first magician to ever win the show in 2016, has been touring the country on his sold-out UK Tour Power of Imagination, which he will continue later this year. Since his win, Richard has also headlined a West End show, Impossible, as well as returning to TV with his one-off prime-time ITV special Operation Magic.

Among the show’s successes, Susan Boyle has sold more than 23 million records worldwide, Diversity have sold-out six nationwide tours and just completed their seventh UK tour Genesis, while multi-platinum selling artist Paul Potts has sold six million records worldwide. BGT 2014 winners Collabro have had a No. 1 album and Calum Scott, Simon’s golden buzzer in 2015, was the first ever Britain’s Got Talent contestant to be nominated for a Brit Award for his single Dancing On My Own, which peaked at No. 2 in the official UK charts and spent 15 weeks in Top 10.

Commenting on the forthcoming auditions, Jude McElroy said; “We are absolutely delighted to welcome the crew from Britains Got Talent to Main Street, Omagh. This is a fantastic opportunity for budding stars and we encourage anyone who has a real talent to come along and audition on Sunday 12 November from 12 noon - 4pm. It would be absolutely amazing to have Omagh represented in this talent contest! Singers, musicians, magicians, comedians, dance troupes and all other variety acts, get prepared for the biggest audition of your life! We'll be there supporting you all!”

Rooms at Rue

• Just spent a night at Rooms at Rue and what a relaxing night we had . We were made very welcome the moment we arrived as the staff were all amazing. The food was delicious and we finished the evening with a trad session. Breakfast was chilled out and relaxed and I didn't want to leave. To all the staff I would like to say thank you. The room was meticulous and I honestly couldn't complain about anything. I'm really looking forward to going back soon. Rita Deans.

• Location was perfect, room was lovely, secure parking close by and gluten free options at breakfast topped off a great stay.

• Staff were great, food was excellent, location was great right in the heart of the town as for breakfast the portions were massive you couldn't finish it I would recommend anybody going to stay in Omagh stay in the Rue 10 out of 10 for everything.

• My wife held a surprise birthday party for my 50th birthday recently and part of her treat was for us to stay a night in Rooms @ Rue, as friends of ours from Wales, England and Belfast had already booked to stay the night. In short, the rooms are amazing, as we all testified at breakfast downstairs in Rue the following morning.

We arrived back in the early hours to be greeted by friendly staff who showed us down the plush corridors to our room which offered a lovely view of Omagh's Market Street illuminated at night. The decor of the rooms is of the highest design and quality, tastefully done with an eye for detail, as good if not better than any hotel room I stay in throughout Britain and Ireland when travelling for work. Very spacious too, with a king-size bed and comfortable mattress, and not a sound to be heard even in middle of Omagh. The en-suite bathroom is very modern, and has everything including all the fancy hand-soaps and moisturisers etc. which my wife utilised but I skipped, me being a typical Alpha male from Tyrone etc!!

A dozen or so of us each had a full Irish the following morning, which was superb, and Charlie and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. I certainly would recommend a stay at Rue and accommodation is at a very reasonable price too. A great experience, well done.

This wonderful "Bijou" hotel was a joy to stay in. The seemingly newly refurbished rooms are London 5 star standard. The welcome from the manager, Kamel and his staff was a breath of fresh air! Breakfast on leaving was a hearty "Full Irish" which left me sustained until I arrived home in Wales many hours later. I would advise all who visit to pay attention to the directions given on line....the hotel was a little difficult to find without satnav details (our fault) .......I would not hesitate to stay in Rue again...

The hotel is really amazing! The most impressive point is the fantastic view from the window! Safe and comfortable, well-equipped with all of the facilities we needed. Very friendly staff and beautiful town. Cannot recommend enough...Really enjoyed the trip to ireland!
